Position            : Risk Assessment  Analyst

Job Location    : Bangalore

Experience      : 2 – 4 years of work experience in validation and reporting

Education         : M.E / M.Tech /B.E / B.Tech/ Bachelor’s Degree

Main Responsibilities

Contribution to the execution of risk management process

Functional Competencies:

  • I should be able to handle the IT Security Assessments from start to end individually. Help team to re-organize the work/ automate some the activities
  • IAA content review
    Ability to formulate remarks and comments
    Missing information
    Contractions between text and data classification
  • Manage notifications to process stakeholders
  • Generate and send controls to PM
  • Collect data returned by vendors, calculate risks, prepare reports content, etc.
  • Take decisions on mitigations
  • Prepare reports content
  • Store results of assessments in central DB
  • Send reports for signatures (get electronic signatures from stakeholders)
  • IT projects / security documents classification
  • Prior requirement - CISSP certification

Process and Quality:

Process and assess the IAAs immediately after they are ready for review. Help reviewing the controls that enable the future business.

Objectives have to be measured at the quality of encoded data.

Required IT Skills

Skills

  • Interest for information risk and IT Security.
  • A good understanding of overall organizational production environment.
  • Analytical abilities. Analytical abilities are daily practice by large volume of data. Good knowledge and understanding of Excel functions (VLookup/HLookup functions, basic knowledge of macros, pivot tables, etc., formulas. )
  • Good (verbal and written) communication skills
  • An ability to deal with the stress of competing priorities. Volume of work can be high.

Tasks

Phase 1

  • Documentation management
  • Check match between requested documents and document delivered by assessed 3d parties.
  • Documents recording in a SharePoint List (references, documents issued by, document dates, validity dates)
  • Short summary, check scope, check if title corresponds to content.
  • Generate list of questions and create separate files questionnaires, send it to the vendor + update assessment status
  • Create PDF on the basis of submitted IAA in Assessments folder

Phase 2

  • Check if notifications have to be generated + update status in Assessment list
  • Copy data from IAA views to Excel template
  • Copy data from Preliminary vendor assessment views to Excel template
  • Create project folders
  • Generate list of questions that will be submitted to the 3rd party.

  • Well organized and Structured in approach
  • Multi-tasking, “curious” and constantly willing to learn new stuff in order to be in accord with constantly evolving IT needs.

  • Guardian of IT established rules and intend to provide accurate, uniform and high-quality information to the end-users
