Position            :  Application Monitoring – L1

Job Location  :  Bangalore

Experience     :  2 – 4 years of work experience in Application Monitoring

Education       :  M.E / M.Tech /B.E / B.Tech/ Bachelor’s Degree

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform administrative tasks to maintain efficient operations of application
  • Monitor system/application processes to ensure successful results
  • Perform daily/weekly/monthly health checks on key systems
  • Escalate any issues to appropriate teams for quick solution
  • During critical duration (process calendar), ensure high availability and rapid actions towards the service
  • Report regularly to appropriate stakeholders on status/activities
  • Working with different teams to ensure service is operating at its optimal capability
  • Coordination/collaborate with other team to deliver effective solutions
  • Provide high quality support to maintain a qualified environment
  • Perform Event and Incident management as per ITIL standards
  • Ensure resolution/implementations/actions of incidents/activities within SLA
  • 24×5 coverage exceptions during defined processes calendar


  • University Degree required with minimum 2 years of experience
  • Experience in enterprise environment supporting business applications
  • Trained in ITIL foundation (v3) best practices mandatory


  • Exposure to various business processes (business, finance, commercial, Supply Chain, etc.)
  • Experience in IT application/platform monitoring
  • Exposure to technologies like Tibco, Cognos, Netezza, SAS, QlikView, and other ETL and BI reporting tools is an advantage
  • Knowledge of call ticket system (BMC Remedy, ITSM)
  • Knowledge of enterprise collaboration tools (Skype, SharePoint, Office 365, etc.)

  • During the first week of work, a detailed list of KPIs will be defined in collaboration along the following lines:
  • Productivity by number and complexity of incidents handled
  • Quality – first time right handling of incidents
  • Following the defined processes, and communicating correctly
