Ujjivan focus is on the urban poor: salaried
women such as house maids, cooks or office workers
working in garment factories and hospitals and
self-employed women such as vegetable or furit
vendors small shop owners tailros or agarbathai
or beedi rollers. Ujjivan supports over 28,000
urban poor. |
Ujjivan began operations in November 2005. Ujjivan
currently operates 19 branches in 3 cities - Bangalore,
Delhi and Kolkata with a team of 285 employees.
Ujjivan offers a unique multi product framework,
offering various loans and mandatory insurance schemes
to women.
